Chances are once the highest bid is 'accepted' (joke), it will have to be advertised in the local paper for 7 days, requesting higher bids. Can anyone tell me if a sealed bid is legally binding. On the initial adverts it was being sold 'by informal tender'. The estate agents confirmed our bid of was £142,000 was the higher and was subsequently accepted.
